Organic Olives
Work began in November 2003, preparing the land, building a house and planting 1734 olive trees. Cultivars planted are: J5, Olivastro, Koroneiki, Frantoio and Luccino, J5 being the predominant one as it is suited to the Far North of New Zealand. Planting was completed in May 2004 and the house in June 2004. CO Organic certification was obtained in November 2004. Full certification will be acheived in 2006. |
